These terms apply to every order placed on this site. Last updated October 15, 2026.

Who you are buying from

Fail Better is run by Jacob Schubert. Contact details are on the imprint page.

Orders

Your order is placed when you complete payment at checkout. You receive a receipt by email straight away. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by sending it into production. If we can’t make your order, we refund you in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars. Shipping is added at checkout. Prices don’t include sales tax. If tax applies to your order, it is shown at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Discount codes

One discount code per order. Codes apply to the items, not to shipping, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may have an end date or a limited number of uses, shown when you get the code. If you are refunded for an order, the refund is the amount you actually paid.

Production and delivery

Every piece is made to order by our production partner Printful and shipped from their facilities. Delivery times on the shipping page are estimates, not guarantees. If your order hasn’t arrived 20 working days after you placed it, contact us and we will sort it out.

Damaged or wrong items

If something arrives damaged, misprinted or not as ordered, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you. Details are on the shipping page.

Returns

Pieces are made for you after you order, so we don’t accept returns for a change of mind or a wrong size choice. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under the law of the country you live in.

Liability

We are responsible for the products we sell being as described. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you ordered. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Law

These terms are governed by German law. If you live outside Germany, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in.
